I'm learning as I go! (Tips for better blogging)

Although this is my first time creating a blog, I know and understand the importance of creating a blog with elements that both attracts followers but also reflects on your personal style.  A blog should be informative but also entertaining.  This is what separates very popular blogs from small personal blogs.
My first tip for creating an effective blog is incorporating a touch of “you” into it.  I love when I follow a blog and I feel like I know the person.  I personally love humor and in both my blog and Facebook page I try to incorporate my sense of humor.  I enjoy seeing my follower’s feedback. When we have the ability to make something our own we tend to be more motivated about it.  Therefore my first and most important tip in regards to creating a blog is to make sure that you enjoy your blog as much as your followers do.  Allow your blog to reflect something a little special or unique about yourself!
My second tip is about how to pick colors and photos that help enhance your blog.  Now that I have discussed the importance of incorporating your own style into your blog, I think you should pick pictures and colors that you enjoy and that you feel properly fit your blog.  It’s important that the colors all go together.  The only stipulation that I feel is important when picking your colors is to make sure that your colors are attractive but to not take away attention from your actual posts.

LOOK HERE!

Hey everyone! Sitting here watching the sun come up this morning makes me realize how important it is to enjoy our environment. In relation to our eating habits I think it is really important to enjoy what you are eating and the environment you are in. I could be eating cardboard and drinking coffee out of an old boot...as long as I am looking at this.

The trick that I am learning in relation to finding images that are effective on my blog is to find images that attract you. Those that follow you will probably be attracted to them as well. Just as I am more willing to choke down some oatmeal this morning when I am looking out at this, your followers are probably more willing to read a healthy recipe if the pictures look good.

My tip to you all is to find pictures that represent your post in a positive manner, and attract you. I am against photo editing, so therefore I feel that you should only use pictures that represent your blog honestly. It will attract more followers and build up a trust between you and them. There is nothing more discouraging than attempting a new recipe and quickly realizing that the photo shown was a bit of a misrepresentation!

Happy Thanksgiving!

So Thanksgiving is around the corner, and in my family we always have tons of leftovers!  By Saturday my mom usually grinds it all up into a wonderful hash that we all enjoy, however my jeans tend to hate me for days afterwards lol!  So I found this recipe at my favorite spot...paleomg.com!  The butternut squash is a great substitue for starchy potatoes!  Try it out for breakfast, lunch or dinner!  Let me know what you think! OH, and like always, go check out everything on paleomg's website or instagram.

Welcome Everyone!

Hey everyone!  In the spirit of Thanksgiving I thought I would recommend that everyone go visit paleomg.com to get all of her wonderful paleo friendly recipes.  Although I am not paleo, I love reading and eating her food.  Above is her latest recipe of eggnog pumpkin pie with a gingerbread crust!  YUMMY!! It serves 8 and only takes a total of about an hour to prepare, cook and serve!  Go check it out or follow her on instagram.
